Maybe we have had all of the "little difficulties" early in this whole adoption process. Each step we have taken so far has seemed to come with it's own "gotcha", but maybe that is changing.
Earlier this evening, we were notified by our adoption agency that our dossier had been "logged in" by the Chinese agency responsible for international adoptions on September 1, 2011. We had been told to expect this to take about 2 weeks, so the fact that it only took a few days was a very pleasant surprise.
Now, we are awaiting for our "Letter of Acceptance", the official word from China that we have been approved to adopt the specific child we are trying to adopt. We've been told that this can take from 1-4 months. And today's good news has given us enough optimism that we are hoping we will be on the low end of that time interval.
