Last Post from China

At last, we are back "on the grid". (I don't think the post explaining what we have been up to for the past few days actually got posted until this evening, but if it did, you should "refresh" and look at it again, because the pictures are also there at this point.)

We are now back in Guangzhou. It's about 11pm on Saturday evening. Tomorrow morning, we leave the hotel at 6am to take a 3 hour van ride to Hong Kong, where we will board our 15 hour flight back to the U.S. (it will be our "time travel" day - we leave Hong Kong at 11am on Sunday and we will arrive back in Chicago at 11am on Sunday - love that international date line).

Everyone is tired and a little "crabby", but we definitely feel like a tired, crabby family of 6 instead of 5. Victoria has periods of sadness still and she Marissa had a little "falling out" last evening over a big sister trying to help a very independent, little (just barely) sister more than she wanted to be helped (they seem to have patched things up again this evening). But everyone is ready to stop living out of a suitcase and get back into the "real" world.

Once again our time here in China is just about over. The process to get here seems to take so long and the trip seems to fly by when we are here. It's been a great trip, but it's time to come home. See ya' all in a few days.
